বিসিএস (লিখিত) পরীক্ষা৩০তম বিসিএসের প্রাথমিক বাছাই (প্রিলিমিনারি) পরীক্ষার ফল প্রকাশিত হয়েছে সম্প্রতি। উত্তীর্ণদের এবার লিখিত পরীক্ষায় অংশ নিতে হবে। চলতি বছরের ডিসেম্বরে এ পরীক্ষা হওয়ার কথা। এখন থেকেই জোর প্রস্তুতি দরকার- General English (Compulsory)

1. Translate into Bangla : 20
According to reports, average temperatures on earth have increased by about 0.76 degree celsius over the last 100 years, with most of this warning occurring in the past 20 years. This temperature rise appears little but little increase in temperature translates into big changes for the world's climate. Due to change in climate, increase of saline water level and deforestation we understand that the lives of the humans are at stake, particularly those living in the costal areas. Since the world is facing the above challenge, as Bangladeshies we do not know it. There is any sort of action plan being taken by the Bangladesh government.2. Translate into English : 20
বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ চাহিদার তুলনায় অপ্রতুল। ফলে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় 'লোডশেডিং' করার প্রয়োজনীয়তা দেখা দিয়েছে। জনজীবন নানাভাবে বিঘি্নত হচ্ছে। কলকারখানায় উৎপাদন ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হচ্ছে। সামগ্রিকভাবে শিল্পায়নের জন্য বিদ্যুতের প্রয়োজন খুবই। এদিকে দৃষ্টি দিয়ে সরবরাহ বৃদ্ধির জন্য পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া উচিত ছিল আগেই। তবে বৈদেশিক মুদ্রা ও কারিগরি দক্ষতার অভাবে আমাদেরকে অন্যের ওপর নির্ভরশীল হতে হচ্ছে। তা ছাড়া সম্প্রতি বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন বেসরকারি খাতে দেওয়া হয়েছে। আশা করা যাচ্ছে এতে সুফল আসবে। লোকজন তখন স্বস্তির নিঃশ্বাস ফেলবে।

4. Write a precis of the following passage : 15
No person can be happy without friends. The heart is formed for love, and cannot be happy without the opportunity of giving and receiving affection. But you can not receive affection unless you give it also. Love can only be obtained by giving love in return. Hence is the importance of cultivating a cheerful and obliging disposition. You cannot be happy without it. If your friends do not love you, it is your own fault. They cannot help loving you if you be kind and friendly. If you are not loved, it is good evidence that you do not deserve to be loved.
